Construction of a high-voltage substation with 138kV to suit industrial unit with a capacity of 125,000 KVA. The power system was installed with 12 secondary substations in medium voltage within the industrial area to suit production sectors with induction furnaces, lines of hydraulic presses, offices and maintenance areas. Has been implemented power system protections through the IEC 61850 network and load shedding control (load-shedding scheme) with management through Electrical Power Management Systems-EPMS disconnecting loads depending on primary contingency and system topology. For power distribution was necessary the installation 18,400 meters busway interconnecting substation 15 MVA – 13.8 kV with diesel generators for critical systems. Pile driving and foundations were meant in the area where it was built the high-voltage substation with reference to drilling study on site. The medium voltage equipment in substations were installed in stages that have provided sequential tests optimizing the deadlines on schedule. The implementation of this electrical system was in compliance with production planning and goals of its market.
